Bible Snap ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Bible Snap mobile application (the "Service"). This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and your rights regarding it.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

Apple Sign-In identifier and email address. When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple user ID and the email address you choose to share (this may be a private relay email).
Account preferences. Selected Bible reading plan, notification preferences, app settings.
Snap content. The text, images, and design elements you place on snaps you create within the app.

Information Collected Automatically

Device information. Device model, operating system version, app version, language and region settings.
Usage data. Which screens you view, which features you use, anonymized timing data, errors and crashes. This is used to improve the app.
Subscription status. Whether you have an active trial or paid subscription (managed via Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat).
Push notification token. A device-specific identifier used to send daily reading reminders, only if you grant notification permission.

We do not collect your real name, phone number, contacts, photos, camera content, location, or any health, financial, or biometric data.

2. How We Use Your Information

Provide and operate the Service (sign-in, reading progress, snap creation, subscription).
Send you the daily reading notifications you opt in to.
Detect and fix bugs, crashes, and abuse.
Improve the app based on aggregated usage trends.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for cross-app tracking.

3. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted third parties to run the Service. Each receives only the data needed to perform its function:

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account data while your account is active.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. When you do, we mark the account as deleted and you can no longer sign in.
Some data may be retained in encrypted backups for up to 30 days for disaster recovery, after which it is permanently removed.
We do not retain payment-card data — Apple handles all payment processing.

5. Children's Privacy

Bible Snap is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

6. Your Rights

You may at any time:

Access your data by emailing us
Request correction of inaccurate data
Delete your account and associated data through the app
Withdraw consent for analytics (contact us to disable)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA, including the right to request a copy of your data and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures (HTTPS, encryption at rest, OAuth via Apple) to protect your data. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes in-app or by updating the "Last updated" date above.
